Our Barossa Valley wine tour will showcase some of the most awarded wineries and locations in the region.

We will also showcase some of the lesser known locations that have important historical relevance in the Barossa Valley. It’s not just wineries, but also:

Gin is an important part of the Barossa Valley and our Barossa Valley Wine Tour.

A visit to the Barossa is not complete without a stop at Seppeltsfield Road Distillers. Producing award winning gin, this stop will not disappoint!

Tour departs Adelaide – 9:30 am

Tour returns to Adelaide – 5:00pm – 5:30 pm

Our Barossa Valley itinerary changes at certain times of the year.

8:45 am – 9:30 am – Hotel pick up

9:30 am – Bus Departs – Adelaide

10:45 am – Gibsons Wines – guided tasting of 4 wines

11:45 am – Hoffman Wines – guided tasting of 4 wines

12:45 pm – Saltram Wines – a guided tasting of 4 wines followed by a gourmet winery lunch

2:45 pm – Barossa Valley Chocolate Factory OR Maggie Beers Kitchen

30 minutes of free time to shop of purchase

3:30 pm – Seppletsfield Road Distillery – tasting / drinks not included

4:30 pm – Depart Barossa Valley

5:45 pm – Bus arrives Adelaide CBD

Your transport

Your transport for the day are our highly comfortable 25 seat Rosa Mini-Buses. We like to keep our tours intimate and these buses are perfect to ensure our tours remain one of quality and one that you will remember.

Rick’s Wine Tours drivers and hosts are passionate about wine and tourism in general.  We cherish the Barossa Valley and just love showing it off to everyone who comes on our tours. Our guides are experts in their fields.

Frequently Asked Questions

No – Our tours to Barossa Valley do not include lunch. We want you to be in control with what you spend. This allows us to keep our costs as low as possible.

Lunch venue – Saltram Wines

You will order your lunch in the morning when you meet your driver and host at the pick up location. Please advise of any dietary requirements when you order.

Yes! Our tours run every day of the week. In fact week days provide a great way to see the regions without the crowds that weekends can bring.

We keep our groups small. Max group size will be 23 people per bus. This ensures a fun day out and the ability to visit venues you wouldn’t normally get to visit.

The tour departs Adelaide approximately 9:30 am and returns around 5:45 pm. The tour is 8 hours. However depending on traffic coming back to Adelaide we may arrive a little later. Your guide will keep the day on track.

You can book out the whole tour if you like… But it might be better to arrange a private tour if you have a group of 8 or more. This way we can tailor the day to where you want to go. The public tour itinerary cannot be changed.

We understand sometimes you need to cancel or plans change unexpectedly. Our full cancellation policy can be found in our FAQs below.

We need 6 or more people for this tour to go ahead! However we do run the tour with less people. We will keep you updated if the tour is not going ahead. In this instance, we will offer you another date or a full refund.

Cancellation

1 – If you cancel within 24 hours of your wine tour – no refund

2 – If you cancel 48 hours or more of your wine tour – 50% refund

3 – Cancellations must be received in writing via email – bookings@rickswinetours.com

Tour code of conduct

Persons causing a nuisance will be removed from the tour. Rick’s Wine Tours will not be responsible for any expense to the passenger if this occurs. Uncontrollable or disruptive drunken behaviour will not be tolerated. Any person who becomes intoxicated will be removed from the tour. Rick’s Wine Tours will not be responsible for any expense to the passenger if this occurs. Wineries reserve the right to refuse service & entry. Disruptive persons will not be allowed on the vehicle. No alcohol is allowed on our vehicles. No BYO food or drink is allowed in the wineries or other tour venues. Wineries do not have BYO license therefore you may not bring your own alcohol for consumption. Individuals are responsible for any damage inflicted on our vehicles or at wineries.

Rick’s Wine Tours will not be liable for any damage to any private or public property caused by any passengers.

Rick’s Wine Tours reminds its passengers that responsible service of alcohol laws apply at all times and any passenger who becomes intoxicated, disruptive, offensive, violent or quarrelsome will be removed immediately from the tour.

Use of visual media

Unless otherwise stated in writing, all passengers agree to the use and marketing of all video and still images captured by Rick’s Wine Tours and its drivers / hosts whilst on tour.

These videos and still images may be used on social media platforms, online video platforms as well as any other promotional material developed by the business including banners, flyers, or other marketing material that the business develops for its advertising and promotional strategies.

Covid- 19 restrictions

Rick’s Wine Tours is a COVID Safe operator. We follow all government imposed covid regulations.

We are now adhering to the following restrictions / government advice:

  • All attendee must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  • All attendees must wear a mask on the bus and when entering a venue
  • If you have experienced any COVID symptoms you will not be allowed on the tour
  • If you have tested positive to COVID you will be required to provide evidence of a negative COVID test.

​Liability Waiver

To The Extent Permitted By Law:

The company, its related entities, employees and agents shall not be liable for any claims, losses, damages, injuries, costs and expenses suffered, sustained or incurred (including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential) as a result of, or arising out of, or in any way connected with any tour performed by Rick’s Wine Tours. The passenger releases the company for any claim whatsoever and howsoever incurred, including, but not limited to, a claim for death, bodily injury, damage or loss of property during embarkation and/or disembarkation to or from the buses or vehicles and/or at all times whilst on board any buses or vehicles, unless caused by wilful misconduct or reckless disregard of the company.

In the event of breach of any of these terms by the company, or a failure in whole or in part to provide any service that the company contracted to provide (either expressly or by implication), the remedy for any such breach of any term shall be limited only to the contractual value of the performance of service or obligation that was not performed by the company, or alternatively part value of the service where there was partial performance of the service or obligation by the company. Any liability shall be assessed by the company’s own value of the service and/or obligation or part thereof that is the subject of any claim.​
